This battle is all about Enflame. Maze can be a pain in the neck in this first area, since there isn't much room to move around. He'll cast a protective spell on himself, visible by a blue aura around him. He'll then use his own version of Enflame on you, unless you get some distance between you two, and then he'll use Lightning.
What you need to do is wait for his protective shield to wear off, then quickly move in and use Enflame. As he gets up from the blast, hit him with Enflame again. Do this repeatedly until he teleports away.
Follow the yellow map marker to find him a few hundred feet away. Move up and start up the pattern again. If he puts up a shield, wait for it to wear off, then start the Enflame cycle. He'll teleport away after a bit more of his health is gone.
This time you'll find him down by the coast line. Nothing new, just wait for the shield to wear off and start casting Enflame. When he teleports away this time, you'll have a little run ahead of you.
Head all the way down to the lighthouse and smash the door to get in. Go up the stairs to find him waiting for you near the top. Once again, you'll be in close quarters, so be prepared to take a little damage. After getting his health down to almost nothing, he'll teleport to just outside of the lighthouse.
Head back down the stairs and outside. It should only take a few more hits to kill him. -- cut-scene --
